Lomonosov Moscow State Universtiy is a coeducational and public research university located in Moscow,  It was founded on January 25, 1755 by Mikhail Lomonosov. MSU was renamed after Lomonosov in 1940 and was then known as Lomonosov Moscow State Universtiy. It also claims to house the tallest educational building in the world. It is rated among the universities with the best reputation in the world.

MSU library system is one of the largest in Russia, with its 9,000,000 books, 2,000,000 of them in foreign languages, and the average number of readers 55,000, using 5,500,000 books a year.

Lomonosov Moscow State University Hostel is a complex campus, providing comfortable living conditions for students and faculty.

The main building is a central part of the campus. In its lateral sectors located residential area, ie apartments faculty, dormitories for students and graduate students.The building has all the necessary conditions for work, study and life of students and graduate students (classrooms, laboratories, libraries and reading rooms, museums, the Palace of Culture, a sports complex, dining, theater, post office, consumer services, health center).

SLomonosov Moscow State University Hostelhops and kiosks in all major building provide residents and employees of food and manufactured goods of prime necessity. home life provides a large set of household services: Repair of clothing and footwear, a shop, a hairdressing salon, beauty parlor. It organized a free laundry service. The post office delivers and receives e-mail and telegrams, faxes, working telephone booth.
The building has several dining rooms, including those working in the evenings, at weekends and on public holidays. To get to the majority of faculties of the student dormitories House only a few minutes on foot.

For outdoor activities on campus, there are many sports sections function, are carried out training and competition at the stadium, athletic fields, tennis courts, a baseball stadium, trainig and athletics buildings. Directly in the main building is a swimming pool and several gyms.
